Lost the phone number on your Skout account? You can usually still get in with your email, a backup code or a device where you are signed in. Here is the order to try, and how to stop it happening again.
Dating apps confirm phone numbers to reduce fake profiles and spam. When you sign in on a new device or reset the password, Skout sends the code to the number on file, not to the phone you are holding.
| You still have | Do this | How fast |
|---|---|---|
| Skout open on another phone, tablet or computer | Change the phone number in settings there | Minutes |

| Backup codes or an authenticator app | Sign in with a code, then update the number | Minutes |
| Only your password | Use Skout's recovery form or support | Hours to days |
| Nothing | Recovery form with proof of ownership (old passwords, payments, ID) | Days, not guaranteed |
