About 5SIM

5SIM sells single-use numbers from what it says are about 180 countries, with prices from $0.008. It shows live delivery success rates per country and operator, refunds automatically when no SMS arrives, and has an API. Its USA numbers are listed under operators named "virtual".

5SIM is cheaper for some apps and we are cheaper for others (see the table). Whether the code arrives depends on the app accepting the number, so check the success rates it shows, and our USA routes, before you buy.

When 5SIM is the better choice

  • The lowest price per code matters most and the app accepts their numbers.
  • You want to pick operators by live success rate.
  • You verify in a country where they have stock and we do not.

When SMS Pin Verify is the better choice

  • You want to pay per code and only when the code arrives: a number with no code expires after 15 minutes at no cost.
  • The app may ask for a code again, and you want to keep the same USA number for 3, 7, 14 or 25 days (from $1.00).
  • You want several USA routes per app, so if one is out of stock or a code does not come, you can try another at a different price.
  • You want to test first with free numbers before you pay.
  • You pay with crypto such as USDT or BTC and want the balance added automatically.

Switching from 5SIM

  1. Create a free account and add a small balance.
  2. Pick the app and country. For USA apps, compare the routes on the service page and start with the cheapest one in stock.
  3. Use a one-time number for a single sign-up, or a rental if the app will ask for a code again.
  4. Moving an integration? The API guide shows how to request a number and read the SMS.

Before you switch, read why verification codes do not arrive: the fixes apply on every service.

Frequently asked questions

Is 5SIM cheaper than SMS Pin Verify?

For some apps. On 1 Nov 2026 5SIM's cheapest USA price was lower for Instagram, PayPal and Venmo, and ours was lower for WhatsApp, Telegram and Gmail.

Why choose SMS Pin Verify over 5SIM?

For USA rentals of 3 to 25 days, free numbers to test with, and USA routes for apps where the cheapest numbers get refused.

Do both refund when no code arrives?

Yes. 5SIM refunds automatically; here you are only charged when the code arrives.

Is it legal to use a virtual number for verification?

Using a number you paid for to receive your own codes is legal in most places. Follow each app's rules: do not use numbers to evade bans or make fake accounts.
