Most apps look up the number you type before they send a code. If the lookup says VoIP, the code never arrives. Our USA numbers are carrier mobile lines, so they pass that check.

Why apps check the line type
Before sending a code, most apps run your number through a carrier lookup. The lookup returns the carrier and a line type. VoIP numbers are cheap to create in bulk, so fraud teams treat them as high risk and many services refuse to send codes to them at all. What is the difference between VoIP and non-VoIP?
A VoIP number runs over the internet (Google Voice, TextNow, Skype). A non-VoIP number is issued by a mobile carrier to a real SIM. Carrier databases label each number by line type, and apps read that label.
How do I check if a number is VoIP?
Run a carrier lookup. It returns the carrier name and a line type such as mobile, landline or VoIP. Banks and payment apps usually reject anything that is not mobile.
Why does my bank reject Google Voice?
Google Voice numbers are labelled VoIP. Banks, PayPal, Venmo and Cash App treat VoIP as high risk and refuse to send codes to it.
Are all your numbers non-VoIP?
Numbers in the USA list are carrier mobile lines. If a particular service still refuses to send a code, you are not charged: payment is taken only when a code arrives.
Is a non-VoIP number more expensive?
Prices depend on the service, not the line type. Most USA services cost between $0.10 and a few dollars per number.
