Bumble code not arriving? Check the number and country code, wait before asking again, and look in filtered texts. 7 fixes that work.
Bumble can sign you up with a phone number and a text code, and asks for the code again when you log in on a new phone. Photo verification is a separate step. If the text code never arrives, here is what to try, in order.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Code screen, nothing arrives | Slow delivery, filtered texts, or a mistyped number. | Wait, check spam, then resend once. |
| Error after entering the number | Bumble could not send to the number or does not accept it. | Re-check the number; use another mobile number if it keeps failing. |
| Too many attempts | Codes paused for a while. | Wait a few hours. |
| Number linked to another account | Someone already used that number on Bumble. | Log in to that account, or contact Bumble support. |
| Account blocked or banned | This is not a code problem. | Contact Bumble through the app's help pages. |
Bumble links your profile to the phone number or social login you signed up with. If you change your number, update it in the app while you still have access. If you are already locked out, contact Bumble support from the website.
Photo verification is separate: it compares a selfie with your profile photos and does not use a text code.
If texts from Bumble never reach your number, another mobile number can receive the code.
In that case a non-VoIP number is the practical fix. These are real mobile-carrier numbers, which is what Bumble expects. On SMS Pin Verify you can pick a USA number for Bumble and the code appears on screen in your account:
Two honest limits: a code is never guaranteed, because Bumble decides whether to send it; and a number may have been used on Bumble before you, so start a fresh account rather than trying to recover an old one.
A mistyped number, filtered texts, or too many attempts are the usual causes.
You can sign up with Apple or Facebook where offered; Bumble may still ask for a number later.
No. Photo verification uses a selfie, not a code.
Non-VoIP mobile numbers usually do; use a rental if you log in with the number.
